• General Information The „International Private Children House“ guarantees a high quality education and upbringing for children between birth to age 6 because of qualified educationalists. Involved qualified personnel support a get – together of people with different nationalities. The education assignment will be enriched because of elements from Maria Montessori. The variety of nationalities gives children an awareness and understanding of others. The formation of such attitudes at an early age is very important for a peaceful world in the future. • Location Mariahilferstraße 62/20 1070 Vienna With the U3 (Station Neubaugasse) you get off directly in front of our door. Just click on a map to get a larger view. • Montessori pedagogics Dr. Maria Montessori had observed that children learn best within a homelike enviroment. The self – correcting materials are designed to encourage independence and self – respect. Montessori areas include materials for the development and refinement of senses, early mathematics – reading and cultural activities. • Language The main language is English but there will be some emphasis on German in the form of songs, simple stories or rhymes. • Opening hours From Monday to Friday between 7.30 a.m. and 4.30. p.m. For personal requirements the „International Private Kindergarten Spatzennest“ will look after your child out of the opening hours of the „International Private Children House“ for extra fees. • Holidays The „International Private Children House“ will be closed between the 20th of December 2000 and the 6th of January 2001. The Kindergarten will open again at the 8th of Jaunary 2001. The last three weeks in August will be used for summer holidays. • Programme The international private children house offers Montessori elements, German language courses, excursion, pre-school and swimming courses. • Lunch This is provided by a catering firm. • Snack The children may bring a mid-morning snack. • Religion The „International Private Children House“ offers no religious instruction but the educationalist encourage the children to regard all religions with open mind. • Illness Please make sure a notification of sickness to us and after the illness we need a confirmation of the child´s doctor. • Teeth We require a toothpaste and toothbrush because children will brush their teeth after lunch. • Parent/educationalist communication All activities will be announced and we have the request to visit our meetings to get all the information. • Staff The „International Private Children House“ is lead by open-minded educationalist who are lunguistically talented. Your child will be warmly received in the „International Private Children House“.
